*Cashier Requirements:*
* Previous experience working in a customer service or retail environment preferred.
* Positive, helpful attitude towards customers, including the ability to speak clearly and convey information accurately.
* Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (carrying cases of milk, etc.
), bending, standing, reaching.
* Must have the ability to work as a team member in a fast-paced environment.
* Visual ability to check identification and process credit cards.
* Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
*Cashier Responsibilities:*
* Perform cashier duties including operation of cash register and gas management systems for product sold- whether by cash, check, credit cards, or automatic debits.
* Performs basic math functions to collect payments and make accurate change.
* Assist customers in cashing in and purchasing lottery tickets, if applicable.
* Reports to work on time, ready and excited to work scheduled shift.
* Keeps the store clean and orderly.
* Maintains an accurate cash drawer and basic retail inventory count.
* Check-in and stock new inventory coming into the store.
* Assist cook in deli operations
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
