JOB SUMMARY AND OBJECTIVE As a Treasury Management Sales Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in the areas of Cash Management Services, liquidity management, payment solutions and more both independently and through joint calling efforts with the lending team.
You will also maintain and grow existing relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction and loyalty.
To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in sales, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.
You should also have excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, as well as a customer-oriented mindset.
You should be able to work independently and as part of a team and be willing to travel as needed.
As a representative of the bank, you are required to always present a positive and professional image.
This position will work closely with the back-office deposit operations group that handles the day to day cash management functions at the corporate office and work in other branch locations as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Sales Support: Work with Lenders and other bank employees on sales calls to determine a client’s needs.
Generate leads through market research, industry analysis, and networking with potential clients.
Qualify leads and assess client needs for deposit solutions.
Provide support and guidance for analyzing business relationships, selling, servicing, and troubleshooting of applicable Treasury Management Services by working directly with the Lending team and/or clients.
Develop and present client proposals in collaboration with the Sales team.
Assist and provide guidance to the Lending team in the preparation of related Treasury Services documents and proposals as requested.
Assist with preparing presentations and sales materials.
Schedule and manage client meetings and follow-up activities.
Assist Customer in setting up all deposit services including but not limited to hardware setup, software setup and training.
Actively participate in Community Development opportunities including and not limited to Chamber events, Ribbon Cuttings, and other events promoting the bank brand.
Support the Bank’s Treasury Services throughout the bank’s entire footprint.
Be flexible in scheduling to service the customer and meet with them based on their availability, which may include attending breakfast meetings, lunch meetings, and after-hour meetings and events.
Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of Treasury Management products and services to assist and guide the Lenders and Business Bankers and customers in identifying banking needs.
Be responsible for routine onsite calling efforts.
Accurately prepare related Treasury Services documents, proposals, and cost schedules.
Coordinate with Treasury Services Staff, Bank Management, Market Presidents, and the Lending team to continually enhance Treasury Services products and services.
Assure setup and installation of all products and services are completed correctly and timely.
Provide prompt and accurate responses to client inquiries about deposit products and services.
Resolve customer issues efficiently and escalate complex problems.
Proactively identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell additional services.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records.
Training Continuous learning and developing new skills.
Provide ongoing training to bank personnel on deposit services and solutions.
Administrative Support: Prepare and process sales agreements, contracts, and other administrative paperwork.
Works closely with the deposit operations group.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Support team efforts on ongoing projects and initiatives.
Ability to learn and train on new processes.
Performs other functions as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
3-5 years of experience in a banking or financial environment, preferably working with supporting customers.
Strong understanding of deposit products and services including but not limited to: Business Deposit Product Offerings Cash Management ACH Payments and Deposits (ACH Origination) Positive Pay Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) Online banking systems Bill Payment P2P, B2B payments Online Payment systems Merchant Credit Card Systems Account Analysis Ability to communicate tactfully with Bank personnel and customers.
Excellent organizational skills.
Good oral and writing communications skills.
WORKING CONDITIONSENVIRONMENTAL, MENTAL, AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS The environment for this position is an open office that is mostly clean and comfortable.
It may include some minor annoyances such as noise, odors, drafts, etc.
The incumbent is in a non-confined office-type setting in which he or she is free to move about at will.
The incumbent will need a valid driver's license.
You will need to travel to other locations and customers as required sometimes on a short notice.
The incumbent in the course of performing this position spends time writing, typing, speaking, listening, lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, seeing (such as close, color and peripheral vision, depth perception and adjusted focus), sitting, pulling, walking, standing, squatting, kneeling and reaching.
The incumbent for this position may operate any or all of the following: telephone, copy and fax machines, adding machine (calculator), computer, laptop and related printers.
The incumbent in this position must be able to accommodate to reading documents or instruments, detailed work, problem solving, customer contact, reasoning, math, language, presentations, verbal and written communication, analytical reasoning, stress, multiple concurrent tasks and constant interruptions.
The incumbent must be able to perform this position safely, without endangering the health or safety to him or herself or others.
The work may frequently be stressful.
