QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in behavioral sciences (social work, counseling, or psychology)
Ability to flexibly adapt to school policies and schedules
Capability to work remotely
Experience in a school setting is preferred
WHAT TO EXPECT AS A SCHOOL BASED COUNSELOR
As a School Based Counselor at Warren County High School, your days are dedicated to implementing vital services outlined in the TMHDD Scope of Service for School-Based Behavioral Health Liaison.
You utilize your expertise as a Master's level mental health clinician to foster trauma-informed practices benefiting students with Social Emotional Disturbance (SED) or those at risk of mental health or substance use disorders.
Adhering to the Multi-Tiered System of Support (MTSS), you allocate eighty percent of your efforts to universal Tier I services and the remaining twenty percent to individualized Tier II and III interventions.
Your dynamic role involves conducting training for school personnel, facilitating School Climate Activities, and providing individual and group interventions for students.
With meticulous record-keeping and a commitment to legal and ethical compliance, you ensure the highest service delivery standards as a School Based Counselor.
You maintain collaborative relationships between the school, families, and the community while adhering to a 40-hour weekly schedule.
