Currently, we have an opening within our Fabrication Department for a Fabrication Assembler.
This position will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and kitting material into a finished product.
This position will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and kitting within the specified dimensions, per engineer drawings, quality control tolerances, and the efficiency expectations outlined in each work order.
This position is a Full-Time hourly position and will report directly to the Fabrication Supervisor.
The Primary Duties and Responsibilities for this position are: These are functions a qualified incumbent or applicant must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation.
Under General supervision, assembles and/or fabricates parts following established procedures and guidelines to ensure quality, safety, and productivity standards are met to satisfy customer requirements.
Read and interpret job orders, diagrams, and/or blueprints to select and/or fabricate parts to position material and accessory components.
Assemble sub-assemblies and install accessory components and materials.
Inspect products to conform to quality, engineering standards, and customer requirements.
Load, unload, lift and move materials and products utilizing lifting equipment when available.
Complete and maintain all associated electronic/manual paperwork processes (including but not limited to checklists, stamping, blueprints, barcoding, and shipping material).
Ensuring products are labeled properly and accurately as well as placed in the proper staging area once complete.
Operate hand tools (including but not limited to electrical and pneumatic power tools).
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment / department.
Must comply with all safety rules and regulations.
Must wear all personnel protection equipment as required.
Actively participate in safety training and demonstrate competency by effectively resolving safety issues or bringing them to management's attention.
Other (Non-Essential) Functions Contribute to a team effort by proactively assisting internal contacts Attend training programs to develop relevant knowledge, techniques, and skills.
All other duties assigned.
Requirements for this position are: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum one (1) year of assembly work experience preferred but not necessary.
Experience working with metals, preferably aluminum but not necessary.
Experience working with hand tools (including but not limited to electrical and pneumatic power tools) is preferred but not necessary.
Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to perform simple math such as: add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Ability to read a tape measure (including calipers but not limited to other measuring instruments as needed).
Physical Requirements & Environmental Conditions Continuous contact with other people requiring communications via face-to-face, orally by telephone, and various written methodologies Standing: Remaining upright on the feet, particularly for sustained periods of time.
Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; those activities where detailed or important spoken instructions must be conveyed to others accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Hearing: Manufacturing environment, which requires the use of hearing protection.
Visual Acuity: Able to perform an activity such as: viewing a computer terminal, extensive reading, viewing measurement equipment.
This is within a manufacturing environment and requires the use of safety glasses to prevent harm to the eyes, at risk of injury from metal from the fabrication process.
