In this position, you will be responsible for testing brazed products to identify leaks and other defects prior to shipping, while working safely and supporting the team across the organization.
This position requires close visual attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities/Essential Functions
Operate a helium test chamber or water tank that identifies leaks
Log parts into the database
Inspect and identify dents, inaccurate size of parts, and any other detail that does not meet customer quality standards
Work with quality control inspector on parts that do not meet leak test and inspection standards
Produce quality products while maintaining customer and production standards
Maintain a safe work area by working safely, following safety guidelines, and wearing required personal protective equipment
Hand-eye coordination in the operation of various tools
Supports the team as needed throughout production and with employee needs
Perform any other job responsibilities directed by management as business dictates
Education and/or Experience
Preferred - High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualities Required
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, blueprints, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Mathematical Skills - Ability to accurately identify numbers, fitting numbers, read calipers, and read test outputs on various machines.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with various concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Physical Demands of Position
Sitting or standing for a 10-hour work day as the job dictates, with occasional overtime
Ability to lift 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally as a team lift, raising or lowering an object from one level to another, including upward pulling
Ability to handle job materials, sizing, holding, grasping, turning, or otherwise working with the hands
Heavy or constant visual attention is required when performing the job
