($300) after 6 months\*\*\** *Department* Fabrication *Reports To* Production Manager *FLSA Status* Non-Exempt Job Description Fabrication Operator Job Description Responsible for rolling the fiberglass that has been sprayed onto the molds.
This position will rely on instruction and pre-established guidelines to perform the job functions.

Responsibilities & Duties * Prepares the acetone bucket and dumps old acetone into the recycle container.
* Checks roller to ensure no buildup and cleans as needed.
* Rolls the fiberglass to remove air bubbles and watches areas not rolled for hardening.
* Checks for air pockets and pin air and ensures air is removed before it hardens.
* Verifies the thickness with a mill gauge.
* Signs off on the production tag (air checker) before the unit is moved to the staging area.
* Daily ensures rollers are clean and removes resin from the grooves.
* Daily replaces acetone in the roller buckets and changes booth filters.
* When necessary, pulls up the floor paper and replaces it.
* Performs other production duties as assigned or needed.
Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills * Entry level position will train previous production experience is a plus.
* Position requires standing for 8 hours per day, repetitive arm motions, rolling, bending at the waist/knees, pushing, and pulling units in excess of 120 lbs.

* Must be able to wear safety glasses/goggles, rubber gloves for 8 hours.
* Must display an attitude of cooperation and the ability to work well with others.

Work Environment & Physical Demands * Work is performed primarily indoors in a production environment with moderate noise level.
The employee in this class is frequently subject to inside environmental conditions, which provide protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
There is potential for exposure to chemical hazards while performing the job functions of this position.
* Position requires sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes, which permits the employee to function in a production environment to accomplish tasks.
* Frequently pushes and pulls molds in excess of 120 lbs.
* Frequently works with caustic chemicals.
* Constantly exposed to strong chemical smells.
* Constantly bending at knees and waist.
* Constantly requires standing for long periods of time, up to 8 hours.
* Constantly requires clarity of speech and hearing, which permits the employee to communicate effectively.
* Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
