*Primary Function* To create, maintain and/or distribute a wide range of work instructions, forms, reference documents and other documentation as needed.
Assists with implementation of continous improvements to support our LEAN transformation.
Performs a variety of lean manufacturing activities for the entire facility including but not limited to 5S, ideas suggestion program (One minute CI Stories), 8 wastes elimination, problem solving, standard work development/execution, visual management.
*Role Specific Responsibilities* 1.
Create, maintain and update all standardize work instructions, forms and reference documents for manufacturing operations using computer and dedicated software packages.
2.
Analyze current practices looking for improvement opportunities across all departments.
3.
Monitor process and ensure improvement methods are executed to produce desired results.
4.
May be required to make presentations to management group to illustrate changes and demonstrate improvements.
5.
Follow a standard problem-solving model to address any issues/improvements identified.
6.
Collaborate with all departments within the organization in their lean initiatives.
7.
Implement continuous improvement projects.
8.
Works with supervision in the implementation of CI initiatives.
9.
Help and guide front line employees to implement their improvement ideas.
10.
Leads problem solving and follows up on action items.
11.
Create visual management tools to help the team to sustain the lean initiative.
12.
Other duties may be assigned as needed.
*Qualifications* * Must be reliable and able to follow detailed instructions.
* Must be able to understand and follow company policies and procedures.
* Must be highly motivated, organized, accurate and detail oriented.
* Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision or direction.
* Must be able to interact with engineers, project managers and floor personnel to gather and compile the needed information into the required documentation.
* Familiar with manufacturing processes.
* Ability to read, analyze and interpret Manufacturing work orders, print and computer printouts.
* Ability to efficiently present compiled information in acceptable manner of understanding or production personnel.
* Must be able to learn and work in document control software.
* Basic LEAN knowledge (5S, Visual Management, STD work).
* Problem solver knowledge (preferred).
* Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaenously.
* Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Abillty to apply basic mathematical skills: add, subtract, multply and divide.
* Able to use a computer, digital camera, video camera and related software.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours to resolve issues within all operating shifts.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft tooks, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
* Must be a team player with a positive attitude.
*Education* High School Diploma or GED *Years of Experience* Minimum of 1 year related work experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $19.
