Assists major gift fundraisers (Directors of Development), Executive Director of Planned Giving, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Associate Vice President for University Development, and Vice President for University Advancement with travel planning to fill out cultivation and solicitation trips with new prospects for qualification.
Assists the Crawford Alumni Center (CAC) with the mail and email solicitations made in conjunction with the CAC’s annual giving efforts, as well as assistance with stewardship in conjunction with President’s Club items, mailings, and other communications and events in conjunction with lists for invitations and other information needed.
Assists campus departments with engagement with their alumni/donors via email and mail.
Works with Printing Services to securely provide mailing addresses for mailings.
Utilizes print and electronic resources, archival information, online databases, electronic screening data, news alerts, action notes entered by staff, data mining techniques, predictive modeling results, and other public information sources to conduct advanced prospect research for major gift fundraisers.
Provides specialized research support for the Director of Corporation and Foundation Relations.
Maintains data integrity within Raiser’s Edge.
Works under general supervision in Advancement Services.
Performs and assists with a variety of data management and data integrity functions including but not limited to annual giving updates, graduation updates, email appends, phone appends, and NCOA updates.
Responsible for the completion or assignment of all ad hoc list requests and all prospect research requests from within University Advancement and also all other areas of campus.
Trains and supervises student employees in regard to projects in Raiser’s Edge as needed.
Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent with four years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with two years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications Experience in a higher education setting with knowledge of nonprofit fundraising and prospect research.
Working knowledge of Raiser’s Edge, WealthEngine, ResearchPoint, AlumniFinder, Banner, Microsoft Office and Adobe.
Work Hours Compensation and Benefits Salary Commensurate with education and experience.
