*ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE III*
Regular hours of operation are Monday to Friday: 7:00AM-4:00PM
*ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:*
* Under general supervision of City Clerk, will perform a broad range of clerical and administrative duties for the City Clerk and City Manager.
* Will administer office functions according to City policy or precedent.
* Receives, and assists, visitors of the facility in a professional manner.
* Arranges meetings for the City Clerk and City Manager.
* Prepares and processes forms which may require gathering, and coordinating, data.
* May transcribe letters, notes, reports, memos and meeting minutes from shorthand notes or electronic dictation equipment.
* Performs clerical support services to the Planning Commission and other committees, if assigned; Prepares public notices; Records, and transcribes, minutes of meetings; Prepares, and distributes, information on meetings; Maintains files and records.
* Prepares, and advertises, bids for the City and ensures proper procedures are followed in the bid process.
*REQUIRED ABILITIES:*
* Knowledge of City policies, procedures and operations.
* Knowledge of City ordinances and applicable governmental laws and regulations.
* Knowledge of modern office practices, procedures, equipment and computer programs.
* Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the public, fellow employees, leadership and Council.
* May be required to attend various training schools or classes.
*MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING, EXPERIENCE:*
* Business school graduate with 2-3 years experience in similar field is highly preferred
* High school diploma, or equivalent, plus 4 to 6 years of practical experience
* An equivalent combination of education and experience can be approved at the discretion of City Clerk, City Manager and Human Resources Manager.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $36,150.
