*JOB PURPOSE*: The Staff Accountant is responsible for performing accounting functions such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Responsible for maintaining accurate and precise accounting.
*AUTHORITY: *All employees have the authority to stop operations/production for the following three reasons: 1) a quality defect, 2) an unsafe act, or 3) a health hazard.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* * Process customer payments * Research and solve payment discrepancies * Reconcile bank and other accounts as required * Track and submit 401K withholdings * Match invoices, Purchase Orders, and receiving documents for accuracy and correctness.
* Coordinate month end physical inventory, prepare worksheets and distribute to appropriate individuals and summarize results.
* Determine sales tax status of all purchases and prepare appropriate documentation for exempt purchases.
* Effectively perform any other duties as assigned or deemed necessary and appropriate.
* Assist with the end of month closing & different projects as assigned.

High School Diploma or GED (BS Preferred), 10thGrade Math Level, and two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* *Language Skills* Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to clearly convey thoughts and ideas to all levels of the organization.
